Maintenance works at Cairn Curran Reservoir
Monday 16 March, 2026
From Tuesday 13 April to Thursday 28 May, Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) and AGL will conduct works at Cairn Curran Reservoir.
During this time, GMW will undertake its own maintenance works on its infrastructure at the reservoir.
During the works period, water levels in the Loddon River downstream of Cairn Curran Reservoir and above Laanecoorie Reservoir may be lower than normal.
These works have been carefully scheduled to minimise impacts on customers.
Water users on the Loddon River between Cairn Curran Reservoir and Laanecoorie Reservoir have been advised to monitor their suctions closely. This is to ensure that no damage occurs to your pumps during the works period and while water levels are returning to normal.
GMW will take the necessary actions to return the river to its pre-works levels as soon as possible after the works conclude. This may involve a river pulse flow for a short period of time to expedite the recovery process.
