Connect With Council coming to Macorna
Macorna and district residents will be able to engage directly with Gannawarra Shire Council leaders thanks to the next session of the Connect With Council program.
Councillors and senior staff will be in attendance at the Macorna Recreation Reserve on Thursday, 14 May from 6.30pm-8pm, coinciding with the Macorna Football Netball Club's Thursday night training program.
The session follows on from the program's inaugural gathering held last week at Kerang, which saw residents and business owners discuss their concerns with Councillors and senior staff.
"Residents have indicated that they would like additional opportunities to engage with Councillors and senior staff, and the Connect With Council is another way that we can achieve this," Mayor Garner Smith said.
"By holding sessions outside of business hours and at locations where the community is already gathering, it will make it easier for residents to meet with their local government leaders and discuss matters that are affecting them."
Sessions will also be held during June and July at Murrabit and Cohuna, with details regarding dates, times and locations to be announced soon.
Work is also occurring to confirm times and locations for sessions occurring between August and December at Koondrook, Lake Charm, Lalbert, Leitchville and Quambatook, with details to be promoted on Council's website Facebook page and editions of
