Council's 2025 Annual Report wins ARA Silver Award
Gannawarra Shire Council's
2025 Annual Report
has earned recognition at the 2026 Australasian Reporting Awards, receiving a Silver Award.
The awards, announced in Melbourne on 18 June, celebrate high-quality annual reports produced by government bodies and private organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.
"Achieving a Silver Award for the eighth year in a row in these prestigious awards reflects the dedication of the staff who prepared the 2025 Annual Report, which documents Council's achievements throughout 2025/26," Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
"The silver rating acknowledges strong coverage of most ARA criteria, appropriate disclosure of key business aspects, and exceptional reporting in at least one major area."
The
2025 Annual Report
showcases Council's accomplishments over the year, including major capital works projects that were completed or commenced, community grants distributed, events supported, and the ways Council engaged with residents.
It also incorporates information required under the
Local Government Act 2020
, along with the audited financial statements for the 2024/25 financial year.
"As with prior editions, the
2025 Annual Report
is presented in a clear and accessible format, allowing readers to understand how Council is supporting our community and delivering outcomes that align with the strategic priorities outlined in the previous
Growing Gannawarra 2021-2025 Council Plan
," Mr Rollinson said.
