Council exploring options for Lake Boga Area's 4 and 5
Swan Hill Rural City Council has resolved to consider the closure of Areas 4 and 5 on the northeastern shore of Lake Boga, subject to negotiations with the Lake Boga Caravan Park Lessee.
Mayor, Cr Stuart King said the resolution marked the beginning of a process and does not represent a final decision on the future use of the areas.
"Council has an existing lease with the operator of the Lake Boga Caravan Park for the operation of these areas as part of the caravan park. Any proposed closure requires negotiations with the lessee.
As Areas 4 and 5 are located on Crown land, engagement with the State Government will also be required," Cr King said.
Council will provide further information to the community as discussions progress.
