Cohuna and district residents will be able to engage directly with Gannawarra Shire Council leaders thanks to the next session of the Connect With Council program.
Councillors and senior staff will gather outside Ritchies IGA in King George Street, Cohuna on Wednesday, 16 September between 10.30am and 12 noon.
The sixth session of this popular community engagement program follows sessions already held this year at Kerang, Lalbert, Macorna, Murrabit and Quambatook, which have enabled residents and business owners to discuss various matters with Councillors and senior staff.
"Council thanks all residents who have taken the time to discuss local collaborative opportunities and ideas with my fellow Councillors, Council staff and I during Connect With Council sessions held so far this year," Mayor Garner Smith said.
"These discussions are providing Councillors and staff with an insight into local matters, with previous discussions focusing on the maintenance of our local roads, delivery of key Council services and our stance on State and national matters."
Planning for the rollout of the Connect With Council program for the remainder of the year continues, with sessions to be held during October, November and December at Koondrook, Lake Charm and Leitchville. Details regarding dates, times and locations will be promoted on Council's website, Facebook page, and in editions of
