Know your Fire Danger Rating

The Fire Danger Rating tells you how dangerous a fire would be if one started — it's a forecast, not a description of an actual fire. It drives whether a Total Fire Ban is declared.

No Rating

Fire danger is low. No restrictions in place from this rating alone.

Moderate

Most fires can be controlled. Plan and prepare.

High

Fires can be controlled. Be ready to act.

Extreme

Some fires will be uncontrollable and move quickly. Leaving early is the safest option.

Catastrophic

For your survival, leaving early is the only safe option. Homes are not designed to withstand fires in these conditions.
