Woman arrested as part of Mildura drug investigation

Police have arrested a woman in Mildura as part of a multi-agency ongoing investigation into the importation of drugs bound for Mildura. With the support of Australian Border Force, Mildura Divisional Response Unit detectives arrested a 33-year-old Mildura woman at a Mildura address yesterday morning. She was interviewed and has since been charged with the Commonwealth offence of importing a marketable quantity of a border-controlled substance. Police will allege the woman attempted to import approximately 500ml of 1.4 Butanediol, which was intercepted at Melbourne Airport on 20 June.
